Project 1

Acrylic, 500mm x 500mm

I fell in love with the metal bracing beams here and all the colours within. The Port Hills in the distance are the first pull to homeward visiting Cantabrians. 26 Canterbury Street started life as a Masonic Lodge and became Bill Hammond’s studio from 2000 until earthquake damage in 2011.  The rest of the scene is evocative of the unique flavour of Lyttleton rather than a particular view.
