Nelson is rightly proud of its Public Gallery, with a striking blend of original architecture and recent additions. I wanted to show the less celebrated view from Queen’s Gardens, where you can walk through the park and find yourself at the back of the gallery able to look in the large windows. The sculpture is “Push the Sky Away” by Graham Bennet. And yes it was difficult to paint.
