It’s a typical post earthquake recovery landscape. The newly built Wynn-Williams building in all its copper and glass finery provides an imposing backdrop to “The Villas”. These proud wooden-framed buildings, products of a bygone era, survived the earthquakes of 2010/11 when so many more recent buildings failed.
